Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (Monday – Thursday, 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
On-Call: Rotating weekend and holiday call required

Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, wrapping, sterilizing, and maintaining the inventory of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. Support extends to surgery, VVH departments, and associated clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment

• Assemble and wrap instrument trays and sets according to established procedures

• Maintain inventory of sterile and non-sterile supplies

• Ensure proper storage and handling of all sterile items

• Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols

• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday call schedule

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience

• Certified as either:

  • CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) OR

  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
